ABRAXAS can be played alone or with several people. A player is a questioner, other people can be present as spectators and conversation participants. You can lay the cards for yourself or for people close to you.
Shuffle cards
At the beginning of the game, all 36 cards are on the screen. The questioner shuffles the cards by clicking on the action "Shuffle". During the shuffling process, the questioner thinks of one to three questions at the most, interfering with his question. When he has asked his questions, he finishes the mixing by clicking on the action "Finish shuffling".
Prior to the start of the match, it should be agreed whether the person asking the other players to answer their questions, whether they keep their questions private or write them down.
Search images
After shuffling, all 36 cards are automatically uncovered. Each map shows four half pictures. The questioner now searches for as many halves of the picture as possible in order to assemble them into whole pictures. To do this, he can rotate the cards around himself by clicking on the picture. How many pictures he finds depends not least on his ability to observe and his knowledge of the Abraxas maps. The Abraxas cards can also be positioned in such a way that several connection options are available, depending on the rotation. In this case, a decision has to be made between the pictures with different meanings. Through this free choice between different possibilities one can have a say in one's own destiny.
Several pictures give several statements about how life is shaped by different characteristics.
The questioner ends the search by clicking on the "Evaluate" action.
Evaluating meaning
Each image has four meanings. Only one of them applies. Which one this is depends on the position of the image.

Under the action "Evaluate" all found images are listed. The meaning of each picture is determined by the position of the picture and is displayed by the questioner clicking on the picture in the list. A dialogue box opens for this image in which the meaning is displayed.
If the questioner wishes, the other persons can discuss the statements in more detail. In this case, it is advantageous for the other persons to know the questions - so they can include life circumstances, hopes and fears of the questioner in their discussion, the result of which will depend on knowledge of human nature, imagination and mutual understanding.
New game
A new game can be started via the "New Game" action. A questioner should start a new game after about 3 days.
After his or her game, however, he or she can hand over the role of the questioner to another person, who then asks their questions.
